Re: Discussion of Mark's firmware

Sorry for the silence lately; I'm on vacation and don't really have good ways to get online. More specifically, I have a tablet, which is fine for browsing but leaves much to be desired for typing and I did not bring the charger (most of the gadgets we brought with us are lithium ion ;-) ) That havi...

Re: Automatic detection of AAA cells

That sounds like a good idea, though the less manual user intervention required, the better. Wouldn't there need to be a separate clip for a AAA battery? If so, perhaps it would be possible to detect which clip the battery was in and use the AAA settings if it's in the AAA clip.

Re: Discussion of Mark's firmware

Looks like that was the last of the capitalization problems, and adding the FAT16 library did fix my compilation issues. Also I made the change you mentioned earlier with the PWMRange setting and it does appear to have resolved the high frequency noise as anticipated. Hooray! I have not yet tried ac...

Troubles with 0.514

Finally getting a chance to try playing around with this version, but I've hit some snags. I needed to tweak CVM.cpp to change the capitalization of an include: Line 2 from #include "EEPROMex.h" to #include "EEPROMEx.h" I ran into undefined symbols in the Robot_Control library--looks like that's a b...

Analysis Data

Finally got a successful run with the latest hardware (R7) and software (0.512)--not because it required any particularly strenuous wrangling, just because the last couple weeks have been very busy. Everything seems to be working pretty much as it should be, with one exception: with this version of ...

Wow, that sucks! I hope that you're all feeling better now (or soon, if you're still under the weather)!

Re: Support for cards greater than 2GB in size

My two cents: 2GB seems like a lot of space for these log files; more than most folks would probably need. Plus, if the same data is being output over the serial port (and you can make sure it doesn't crash if it hits that upper limit on the card) then in the nearly-unimaginable case where someone w...

Re: Planned Button Press Behavior

I like it. I'm a little unsure that duration-of-press is a good way to do it, but it's better than nothing! And I think that your time divisions are good; should be pretty easy for most people most of the time to pick the one they want. That having been said, there are two things I'd encourage you t...

[Off-Topic] New Forum Posts Not Triggering Notifications?

Sorry I've been so silent the past few weeks; life has gotten in the way again, and also I had taken to relying on e-mail notifications to let me know when there was some new activity. Unfortunately, if you look at my e-mail box, it appears that everyone else has been as inactive as I have; the only...
