Re: Feature Request: Unique Data Files

The possibility that checking for the files makes sense. I'm wondering whether it would really take a noticeable amount of time to try to open up even a couple hundred files, but I'm not sure how to really profile that short of writing the code as you described, creating a bunch of empty data files,...

Feature Request: Unique Data Files

Hey all! I've been using 0.508 since a day or so after it came out and have done one analysis cycle and a couple of additional charges for around-the-house batteries that had run out of juice, and it's been working great so far. Nice work Mark! One additional feature that would be really nice (thoug...

Re: Monitoring Software

As a Linux user, I have a strong preference for you to make it multi-platform, so using Paul's Processing-based code might be a good place to start (Processing is Java-based and runs pretty well on all three of the major OSes, I believe--though if Delphi also runs on all three it probably would be f...

Re: Possible Bug in Version 0.502 of Mark's Code

Sorry for the silence--had a couple of busy days here. Made it through a full discharge/charge/discharge/charge cycle! Things are looking good from that standpoint ^_^ It is a bit warm here--we keep the house around 80 F (27 C) and after I realized that some of my runs were terminating due to therma...

Re: PWM Whine

I changed the value to 0x1FF and cannot hear the whine at all any more. Thanks Mark! Would you mind explaining the practical ramifications of losing that bit of current resolution? Does that basically mean it can only set the current to one of 512 distinct levels instead of one of 1024 distinct leve...

Re: PWM Whine

Thanks Mark, I'll give that a try. Also, would doubling the MaxPWM value (to 0x7FF) cause a corresponding halving of the frequency? Because even if it were to become more audible, it might be less annoying than the current one; the way it is now sounds too much like an electronic mosquito for my com...

Got it, thanks, attempting the cycle again!

Re: Possible Bug in Version 0.502 of Mark's Code

Okay, got through roughly one discharge-charge cycle; it ended with the "Capacity Limit Reached" message for both of them when they crossed the 2200 mAh threshold. The batteries themselves claim to be rated at 2300 mAh; is there an easy way for me to tweak the maximum capacity threshold? I've found ...

PWM Whine

I've noticed that when a battery is charging, there's a distinct high-pitch whine coming from that battery's part of the board (I'd estimate it to be up around 12-15 kHz; too much higher and I probably wouldn't even be able to hear it). I'm assuming this has something to do with the fact that it's u...
