Re: The new boards come tomorrow!

I am loving it! It seems to work so much better overall and it makes some things on the programing side more smooth IMO. I feel good about this design. All I need to do is swap the pwm pins on the drain resistor and I think I will be ready to order a lot more (after a few more days of testing of cou...

The new boards come tomorrow!

The new boards are in the mail and they should be here tomorrow! I will off course get one put together as quick as I can and test it. If it is good then same as last time, I will build and send out. I haven't heard from Joel in a while?? Joel, are you still alive?

Inductor Plots

I ran some test running the PWM at different frequencies and with two different inductors. Plots are attached. Over all the 100uH at 15kHz I think is the best choice, with greater efficiency and cooler running... but the working range is much smaller than with the 270uH. I think in order to really b...

Re: Internal Impedance

Just a minor wording thing. I have sometimes used impedance interchangeable with resistance because it is almost impossible to have a pure resistance. However it is not really correct. What has been described would be measuring the cells internal resistance (DC). If you wanted to measure the interna...

Re: May have missed this answer somewhere: The other switch?

Marks right, it's for High, Medium and Low (500mA, 400mA, 300mA), that part does work, but I have not yet set it to change to 1000mA, 800mA, 600mA when you only have one cell loaded.

Re: Eneloop Charge Graph

Looks Nice Mark. I am glad though we are switching back to the temp not being measured with 18bits because as you can see from the noise, whats the point. Much more useful to use those channels of the ADC for current. Even at 10bits we should still get resolutions of about a third of a degree.

Re: Initial overnight tests

Okay so I am going to think out loud for a bit on this. So right now I just have max temp set to 35C. This was mostly just picked so my house would not burn down or anything, realistically It should be set based on a few different parameters. If a higher charge current is selected it should also all...
