Display average discharge voltage

Post by cj0 » Mon Apr 25, 2016 8:44 pm

To get an idea about the discharge curve without actually seeing a graph, it is useful to see the average discharge voltage in any "program" that involves discharging (dcdc, d, dc, etcetera).

Having devices that require more then one battery, involves matching a set of almost equal batteries for optimal device usage.

In battery matching not only the Ah-capacity is important, also the average discharge voltage is an important factor.

Note: even after charging is finished, I do wish to see the ADV (average discharge voltage) in at least 3 digits.

If you're wanting to know the average discharge voltage, you can calculate it quite simply by dividing the measured energy by the measured capacity.

If you're wanting to match cells based on capacity and average voltage, it's even simpler - just compare the measured energy and measured capacity - if they're both the same, then you also know that the average voltages were also the same.
