Touch Screen

Post by ukoda » Fri Oct 18, 2013 8:11 am

I have been looking at the little colour bitmap colour touch screens that are very cheap now and typically only need a SPI or I2C interface. One for each cell to show what it's status was and to control it could be nice. Be nice to put a battery in and have touch menu show options, then select option and watch progress in realtime. When done show the final stats on screen. I brought a selection of them to pay with ranging from 1.5" to 2.4" and costing from about USD $1.35 to $3.70. The two extremes of what I got are seen at http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=9765994997 and http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=0.0 ... 6535477602 . The 'expensive' one is QVGA and has a touch screen.

A touch screen sounds like quite a good idea - I like it!

Being in China you definitely have better access to some of these things than most of us. If you find something you like tell me and I will get you the money so you can mail me a sample.
