COLOR OLED

Postby Paul.Allen » Sat Oct 19, 2013 5:07 pm

I would like it to have a Color OLED display!... but because this is the kind of device that could be on a lot, I was worried about burn in of the display. It could still be possible if it was something where you went over and hit a button to wake up the display for a few seconds or something to check the status. I personally don't love having to hit a button every time and would rather is just be on always, but what are your thoughts?

I'd vote for a regular color LCD screen so that it could be left on all the time.

I would second that.

The main advantages of OLED, wide viewing angle and slimness, are wasted on a charger but having an always on display is a must. I would not want to press a button to get the status.

Personally I'm a fan of e-paper displays, they are quite easy to work with, but in this case I would still prefer a colour bit-mapped LCD.
