How about using Microview Arduino as software host & display for the new charger?

Although that looks interesting, the display is smaller and lower resolution than the current LCD charger, plus it only has the same controller as the non LCD charger, so I don't think it would really be suitable for this project - sorry...

I can only find a charger without a display that is for sale at http://www.paulallenengineering.com/sto ... ducts.html.

What is meant with the "current LCD charger"?

The LCD charger was intended as an updated version which allowed you to see and control what was going on with the screen that is part of the charger. Unfortunately, there were too many issues with the screens and the controllers which made it uneconomical for Paul to keep making them, so we ended up with a charger with a built in PC interface so that the PC could do everything that you could do through the charger LCD display and more.
